The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as the Ministry of Education, Government of India (GOI), has established National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA is a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization. NTA was registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests. The Organisation has to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

 

Different Career Path

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) comprises two papers. The Paper1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). The JEE (Main) oversee multiple Sessions (February/March/April/ May. JEE (Advanced) conducted for admission to IITs. JEE Main 2022 is conducted in four sessions in February, March, April and May. Around 35 engineering entrance exams are conducted for admission to engineering courses in India every year. IIT Bombay

National Testing Agency conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in 13 languages. This is a uniform entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS /BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved Colleges. The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination. declaration of the result and providing category-wise “All India Rank (AIR)”. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)  conducts counselling for admission to MBBS / BDS.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission into Management Program(s) in the country. This test facilitates AICTE affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges. Until June 2018, the NET was conducted by CBSE on 84 subjects in 91 cities across the country. Thereafter from December 2018 onwards, the UGC- NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

IIFT Kolkatta

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) was set up in 1982, as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, for coordinated growth and development of hospitality management education in the country. The Institutes affiliated with NCHMCT offer B.Sc.(Hospitality & Hotel Administration) program jointly with the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Three-Year course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities.

Admission to the course is through the NCHM JEE exam. The NCHM JEE score is accepted by all the participating Institutes for admission to the BSc (HHA) courses offered by their respective institutions.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for entry into M.Pharma Program. The test facilitates institutions to select suitable Pharmacy graduates for admission into the Master’s Program. The GPAT is a three hours Computer Based Online Test. A few scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of Pharmacy are also given based on GPAT Scores.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to contribute to the skill building for the external trade sector of India. The Institute granted “Deemed to be University” status in 2002. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recognized IIFT as a Grade ‘A’ Institution in 2005 and 2015. MBA (International Business), a flagship program of IIFT is a six-trimester general management residential program to focuses on International Business. IIFT has campuses in Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada. Admission to the program is through an entrance exam and interview/group discussion.
